Meet the Staff

Brenda Thurman
Director   
Brenda Thurman is the Executive Director and founder of ORPP. She is responsible for fiscal management, Internal controls and staff oversite. With her guidance ORPP has grown from a dozen customers to well over 600. Prior to working at ORPP Brenda worked as the bookkeeper at The Arc of Washington County. Brenda also spent five years as a residential program manager where she was responsible for 18 clients and 24 staff memebers. Brenda founded ORPP in 2003 because she loves working with people and enjoys helping individuals.
Brenda was born in California but moved to Oregon with her parents when she was 13 years old. Brenda has one sister, eight years older, 1 nephew, 1 niece, 2 great nephews, and 2 great nieces all of which live in California. Brenda enjoys spending time with her many animals. Currently she has 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 pigs, and 1 bird. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Judy Goffin
SSA Liason   
Judy has worked at ORPP since February of 2009; starting out as a part-time employer and then moved to full time. She truly enjoys working with the clients and admits that there is "never a dull day in the office". Her current position within the company is Social Security Liaison.
Judy was born and raised in Oregon; currently lives on the beautiful Santiam River, and loves spending time with her husband and son as well as her 7 cats (soon to be 8) and 3 dogs. Favorite pastimes include camping, snowmobiling, arts and crafts and loves to relax by a campfire any chance she gets.
Brittany Rickard
Accounts Payable   
Brittany has been with ORPP since the summer of 2006. In her years with ORPP Brittany has done many tasks and duties, but has found that accounts payable suits her best. Brittany enjoys the challenges of managing client accounts, ensuring that their financial means are met. Her attention to detail gives her the ability to complete those tasks.
Brittany is a lifelong Oregonian and enjoys all the beauty that Oregon has to offer. She is married and has 2 children; 1 daughter and 1 son. Along with her children to keep her on her toes, she has 2 dogs and 4 cats. In her down time Brittany enjoys camping, hiking, riding in her UTV, spending time on the water.
Kim Carbaugh
Accounts Payable   
Kim has been working at ORPP for 3 years after receiving her bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Phoenix. She takes pride in this job knowing that she is making an impact on individuals who need it the most. Kim's responsibilities at ORPP includes facilitating housing, maintaining client budgets and paying bills.
Kim grew up in the Santiam Canyon and enjoys the slower and quiet things in life. In her spare time Kim has many interests, mainly those that involve her husband and two sons. She has 2 horses, 2 cats, and 1 dog that keep her family busy. Whether they are out hunting, fishing, or camping she considers herself thankful and content.
JJ Aerni
Temp Housing & Transportation   
JJ began working with clients at ORPP in 2012. Her job duties are to make payment arrangements for temporary housing and transportation. She is also in charge of the extra request for needed items.
Previously, in 2006 she was employed at the local public school. She worked with children and young adults with a variety of disabilities for six years. One of the things that she enjoyed most, was learning the needs of each student. Establishing meaningful relationships with the students and their families.
One of her favorite quotes is by Mark Twain... "Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see." It has been important that her four children have grown up understanding the meaning of this quote. The quote has such a deep meaning, to understanding the life of others.
